Coinciding with the
incredibly sad news of the passing of Lustau oenologist Manuel Lozano comes the
more cheerful news of
the new 2016 saca of the Tres en Rama range. As you will know, the range consists
of two Finos en rama, one from Jerez and the other from El Puerto alongside a
Manzanilla from Sanlúcar, Lustau being the only firm to have bodegas in all
three towns. According to the press release the Manzanilla is floral and
saline, the Jerez Fino is pungent and mineral and the Fino from El Puerto is
delicate and maritime. “Three wines, three cities and three personalities” as
they put it. There are only 1,000 50cl bottles of each, so don’t waste any
time.
