The worlds´s bestselling Cream
Sherry, a bottle of which is sold every 6 seconds, has updated its look. It
is the only Spanish brand to hold a warrant from the British Royal household,
though it has held it since the 1880s, long before it was blended and bottled
in Spain. The shoulder of the distinctive cobalt blue bottle, which was
introduced in the late 1970s to reflect Bristol´s centuries old glassmaking
heritage and tradition of blue glass, has been embossed with the words “House of
Harveys”. The label has also seen a subtle redesign and a thermo-sensitive
substance has been added to it which changes colour when the wine reaches the
ideal drinking temperature, which is 10°C.
A blog and review on all things Sherry. It is about tasting, enjoyment and learning more about the World’s Finest Wine. "Sherry is a thoroughbred" as Javier Hidalgo rightly puts it. Included are the amazing local Brandies and the remarkably good table wines also produced in the province of Cádiz.
