Madrid held its first
specific fortified wine event yesterday at the Hotel Miguel Ángel. Over 20 bodegas were present
representing Port, Montilla-Moriles, Condado de Huelva, Madeira and of course
Sherry. Actually Sherry was very well represented with no fewer than 15
bodegas, and the event was a great success. As if that was not enough,
Idiazábal cheese, Sierra Mágina olive oil, JABU hams and Sierra de Cazorla
mineral water also had stands. Let’s hope the success of this first show will
encourage a second.
