The Wine and Salt
Museum project in Chiclana, which should have been finished by now, is
still under way despite delays which mean that about 30% of the work remains to
be done. There have been problems with the roof, which was in a worse state
than had been thought, and which needs to be completely replaced. All the
supporting beams of this old bodega have been fixed, and the new roof will
resemble the original. Once the roof is finished, interior works can begin, and
it is hoped that the museum will be up and running by the end of this year.
